Quilts Through the Seasons

Twin Sisters - Episode #2805

Twin Sisters is a striking pattern first made in 1845 in Pennsylvania. Originally the blocks were made with templates. These blocks are now made easily with 2 1/2" half strips. Every pair of 2 1/2" medium and dark half strips are makes two blocks - thus twins. The block predominately dark is the Positive Block, and the block predominately medium is the Negative Block. These small 5" blocks are set together with Lattice and Cornerstones, and are framed with a Rainbow Border.

Twin Sisters can be found on Pg. 102 in Quilts Through the Seasons.
